Getting an iBook

August 12th, 2005

I’ve ordered an iBook (specs below). Its gonna arrive at my doorstep today at 6:30 pm. Can’t wait! =)

512MB memory (DDR333 SDRAM)
12.1-inch TFT Display
1024×768 resolution
ATI Mobility Radeon 9550

32MB DDR video memory
80GB 5400rpm Ultra ATA hard drive
Combo Drive (DVD-ROM/CD-RW)
Built-in AirPort Extreme & Bluetooth 2.0
Apple iSight

I’ve also ordered a Mighty Mouse, but its a bit back ordered, so it’ll come in in the next week or so.

This makes it my first Apple computer, from here on I guess I start shunning windows and the like (oh wait .. I already do =).

I’m also not gonna get the iSight today, since the shop went out of stock on them. I should get the mouse and the iSight late next week.

    August 12th, 2005 at 08:31 AM Excellent choice! I ordered the same iBook yesterday. Received notification today that it is being shipped. The Mighty Mouse would have been nice, but it's almost impossible to get here in Germany. Think I'll wait till the hype cools down...
